Days 185-18 7 Aug 15-18

The Badger.  Ferry from  Mi to Wisconsin

 Stayed in Ludington for a few days.  Went to pool and messed around town. Next,we traveled on to Muskegon on Wed.  We had some great friends from New Orleans, Tom and Nadja  come see us who were in the area for a wedding. They stayed till Thursday and the Greer’s came back.  Staying here at Harbor Town Marina until Monday.

Days181-184. Aug 11-14

 Stayed in Portage for 3 days.  Went to beach ,paddle boarded  and used the zodiac to tour around the lake. We stopped on another beach area and let Piper run all over the place. She loved it.  The next two days it rained. We went to plan B.  Movies,games,puzzles and watched UK in the Bahamas tournament.  Our friends that we just met had an accident.  She fell down and broke her hip,femur and shoulder.  I feel so sorry for them both.  They are keeping their boat here until spring and then finish the loop.  We will miss our time together. Moved on to Ludington this morning.

Day180. Aug 10

 Went to visit an alpaca farm. They were so darn cute! Went to the pool and met other loopers Steve and Cathy from N. C.   They will be crossing the wake at Aqua Harbor in Oct also. That means they end the loop where they started   We had dinner with them at an amazing   Italian restaurant. Leaving tomorrow for Portage Mi. 

Day 179. Aug 9

 Boating to Frankfort Mi.  Great scenery today with all the sand dunes! They were called the Sleeping Bear dunes at the national seashore.  Traveled 83 miles.

Days 176-178. Aug 6-8

We traveled a short distance to Elks River. It connects to a chain of lakes in Taverse Lake. It has rained the last two days so we have cleaned, played games and I completed two 500 piece puzzles. they have a shuttle here so we went to the grocery and a great New Orleans restaurant. Leaving tomorrow for Frankfort Michigan.

Days 174-175. Aug 3-5

 Traveled short distance to Harbor Springs Mi.  We are enjoying these beautiful little towns.  Taking our time as the Chicago bridge is closed until Sept 15.  The big news is that we filled up with gas at  $4.52 a gallon and we were thrilled!  Staying here until Sunday.

Days 170-173 Aug1-3

Traveled to Charlovoix Mi.for 54 miles. This town is another sweet spot. We docked at the marina right in front of the quaint town and walked all around.Im posting pics that got left out from our last spot in Mackinaw City. We met up with another couple who worked at Fed Ex with Bob there.They set off fireworks at night at the marina one night.
