Left at 8 am and traveled passed Mexico Beach to Apalachiola where we fueled up with 180 gallons.  Ate lunch  at the marina restaurant.  We then traveled on and anchored behind dog island.  Plan on leaving at 6:30 am to cross the Gulf for 187 miles with most of it not seeing land.   So far, we have traveled 744 miles and burned 1247 gallons of diesel. Watching the football games and grilling out. Pictures of the day:

Day11. Jan 27

  1. We decided to stay in SanDestin and enjoy it here. The gulf won’t be good to cross until Monday.  We are staying here and plan on leaving Sat to where we cross over on Monday.   We rented a golf cart and toured around.  We went to the beach and bars loving the sunshine even though it was 62 degrees. I’ll take it.  Pictures of the day:

Day 10. Jan 26

We left this morning at 7:30 a.m. from Orange Beach and arrived at Baytown marina at 1:00p.m.  This marina is in San Destin, one of my favorite places.  Bob and Mark washed down the boat from the salt water.  I got to escape that part!   I walked around the hotel and shops.  We ate on the boat tonight and relaxed.  We went 83 miles today.  We are going to Apalachicola tomorrow and stay until it’s good conditions to cross over to Clearwater.  Great scenery today.  Enjoy.

Day 8. Jan.24

We enjoyed hanging out at the Wharf today. We did some shopping, and walking around the marina.  The best part was getting to see  some old friends, Mary Alice and GlennTaylor. She was Bob’s boss in the past and a great mentor to him. We are supposed to leave tomorrow, but  will have to see about the weather, as it is  forecasted for rain and lots of wind.

Bob, me, Mary Alice and Glenn and of course Piper!

I was so excited to see my dolphin friends greeting us.  Unfortunately I did not have a phone close to take a picture. We were going to eat at Lulu’s ( Jimmy Buffets sister) but they are closed in Jan.   Here are pics of the day:

Day 3

Made it to our next marina called the Kingfisher in Demopolis  Ala.  Weather at 60 degrees and no problems.  We are hoping to leave in the morning but it doesn’t look like it so far.  The weather is calling for a lot of rain, and water is up 30 ft,so that means debris.  We will decide in the morning.  Relaxing with some cocktails, and having sea bass for dinner.  A few pics from the day, enjoy!
